Kangana Ranaut slap: CISF constable says her mother was at farmer’s protest

Kulwinder Kaur, the security guard who was accused of slapping the new BJP Lok Sabha MP Kangana Ranaut in the Chandigarh airport, told reporters that she was triggered due to an old comment made by an actor regarding the protests by farmers. “She issued an assertion… saying that farmers sit there with a price of Rs 100. Do you think she will be there? My mom was in the area and protesting at the time she made this declaration. …”

Ms Kaur was – believed to be from a farm family is suspended and will be charged with a crime. Kaur said she reacted negatively to Kangana Ranaut – who won the Himachal Pradesh Mandi seat and plans to go to Delhi she accused accusing her of “disrespecting farmers”.

The incident occurred at security check-in. Guards waited patiently until I crossed. After that, she struck my back… and began to throw expletives. I then asked (her) what she was saying when she attacked me. She replied, “I am a supporter of farmers’. I’m protected… however, my main concern is that terrorism is growing in Punjab. How can we deal with that?” she said in her post.

The video that was viewed by the world showed Ranaut being taken to the check-in counter, and when she gets to it, a verbal scuffle is triggered. It does not show the actress Ranaut getting slapped.

Haryana the Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said an investigation is in progress. “… the action is initiated against those accused. Sad that an individual who works with security has been implicated in this. What happened was not right. …”

In a post on social media, Ms Ranaut was tweeting about an elderly woman who had been seen in one of the demonstrations and claimed the woman was “available for Rs 100”. Her tweet was later deleted her tweet following the public outrage.

Ms Ranaut was also the subject of headlines in February 2021, when the her international superstar Rihanna was seen to condemn the BJP administration over the protests of farmers and declared, “Why aren’t we talking about this?”

In response, Ms. Ranaut replied “No one is talking about it because they are not farmers, they are terrorists who are trying to divide India, so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like the USA… Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies.”

Ms. Kangana has since deleted the post, too.

The farmer’s protests which erupted in the 2020-21 election – that has continued to grow louder for a while, possibly costing the BJP important seats in 2024’s Lok Sabha election – made news both within the country and around the world.
