As NDA, INDIA Plan Next Move, Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav On Same Flight

On the day following the announcement of outcomes, the leaders of both NDA along with INDIA alliances have taken off for Delhi for talks on the best way to move forward.

In the wake of 2024 Lok Sabha polls denying an absolute majority to BJP, NDA and INDIA allies will hold crucial discussions today in an attempt to come up with numbers to create the government.

The NDA, a BJP-led NDA won 294 seats in the parliament of 543 lawmakers which is 22 seats more than the magic number of 272. In the end, the INDIA Opposition bloc finished with 234 seats — which was 38 less than the mark of majority. Two NDA Allies, the The TDP’s Chandrababu Naidu and JDU’s Nitish Kumar, have the keys for the powerhouse. Although both candidates contested the general election as an alliance with BJP, INDIA leaders are known to have reached at veterans from the Coalition in order to lure them into the Opposition faction. With the increasing numbers, INDIA needs the support from both JDU as well as TDP along with a number of non-aligned lawmakers, to win an overwhelming majority.

On the day following the announcement of outcomes, the leaders of both NDA as well as INDIA alliances have taken off for Delhi to discuss the best way ahead. In a curious twist, Nitish Kumar, well-known for his history of politics, was on the same plane as INDIA allies and RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav. They flew to Delhi for separate talks.

Nitish Kumar’s close friend and JDU chief KC Tyagi told news agency ANI this morning that JDU will remain within the NDA and has ruled out any rumour that it might switch to an INDIA bloc. Another Kingmaker, Mr Naidu expressed his gratitude to prime minister Narendra Modi on the stunning NDA performance on the streets of Andhra Pradesh and said TDP as well as BJP are working to rebuild the state as a unit.

However, it must be remembered is that each of these politicians has had a strong opinion of the Prime Minister Modi as well as the BJP over the years. In reality, Nitish Kumar led the talks to create an opposition group to confront the BJP prior to his sudden change of heart.

The INDIA heads who are traveling to the capital city of India for the important meeting is Samajwadi leader of the party Akhilesh Yadav. Also in attendance are RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar and DMK President MK Stalin. The Left’s leaders are also in attendance at the gathering.

In the case of NDA, Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu have soared into the party. They are also Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as well as Hindustam Awam Morcha chief Jitan Ram Manjhi. Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, LJP leader Chirag Paswan and JDS’s HD Kumaraswamy.
