West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata banerjee said on Sunday that exit poll predictions are not in line with reality because they were made two months ago at home.
She said that exit polls are of no use and criticised the media for showing them. In 2016, 2019, and 2021, we had observed how exit polls are conducted. “None of her predictions have come true,” said TV9-Bangla.
The exit polls that were used in the media two months ago, these are fakes. They were made at home. She added that they have no meaning.
The way BJP attempted polarisation, spreading false information about Muslims taking away quotas from SC, ST, and OBCs I do not think Muslims will support BJP. “I think that the CPI (M) and Congress assisted the BJP to win West Bengal,” said Banerjee.
The majority of exit polls predicted that the BJP would get more seats in the state than the TMC.
She said that Akhilesh Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, M K Stalin and Uddhav Thackeray will all do well. “Regional parties will be successful everywhere.” Her ties to the CPI (M) and Congress of West Bengal could affect her chance of becoming a member in the Centre government if INDIA were elected.
Ms Banerjee stated, “I don’t believe there will be a hurdle on the all-Indian level unless CPI(M), interferes.” After talking with everyone in the region, we’ll go if invited. Other regional parties will be invited. She said, “But let’s wait until the results of the election are released.”
Sukanta Mahumdar, the state BJP President, claimed that his party would win 25 or more seats in West Bengal. However, he was not satisfied with anything less than 30.
Even many members of my own party didn’t believe me when I became state president in West Bengal two-and-ahalf years ago. He said that not only his party but also the media and people in the state now believe we’ll get more seats than 25.
Sujan Chakraborty, a member of the CPIM Central Committee, said that exit polls could not be trusted.
He claimed that the TMC would not do well at the Lok Sabha elections, no matter where free and fair polling could take place.
