Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) is inviting applications for the position of Senior Scientific Assistant. The selected candidates will be responsible for providing scientific support in various disciplines to aid in research, analysis, and investigations.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct scientific research and analysis in the designated field, including Physics, Forensic Science, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology, Zoology, Botany, Human Biology, Physical Anthropology, Human Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Computer Science.
2. Perform laboratory experiments, tests, and procedures as required.
3. Assist in the collection, processing, and analysis of scientific data.
4. Provide technical support to senior scientists and researchers.
5. Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and observations.
6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and laboratory protocols.
7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve research objectives.
8. Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field and incorporate them into work processes.
9. Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and publications.
10. Participate in meetings, seminars, and workshops as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of M.Sc degree in Physics, Forensic Science, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology, Zoology, Botany, Human Biology, Physical Anthropology, Human Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or Computer Science from a recognized university.
2. Prior experience in a relevant scientific field will be advantageous.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
6. Proficiency in computer applications and scientific software.
7. Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and protocols.

Age Limit: 21 to 42 years (as on 01-07-2024)

Salary: Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400/- per month
