The NTA (National Testing Agency) has released the notification for UGC(University Grant Commission) test for JUNE cycle.It is a qualifying test for an Indian candidates for admission to Indian universities and colleges for h.D., award for Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant professor. Every year this examination happens twice a year in June and December.Now NTA has released the notification for June cycle.UGC NET EXAMINATION is conducted for 83 subjects with different syllabus for each subject. This examination will be held in online mode.

Eligibility criteria:
There are certain eligibility criteria norms for UGC NET 2024 examination which are specified by the NTA.Each candidate must satisfy the criteria for the application for the examination.It involves age limit and educational qualification.
Educational qualification:
Candidates belonging to reserved categories will get 5% relaxation in necessary educational requirements for UGC NET June 2024. The following are the some more required educational qualifications for UGC NET 2024 prescribed by NTAA.
- Applicants must be a graduation candidates of UGC recognized institutions or universities with a master’s degree or its equivalent with 55% marks.
- Applicants with at least 75% overall marks or equivalent grade are eligible only for UGC NET June 2024 Junior Research Fellowship & for h.D admission but not for Assistant professor if they have completed 4 year,8 semester bachelor’s degree.
- Applicants perceiving their last semester of four year/8-semester bachelor’s degree program are eligible to apply for this exam.
- Applicants perceiving their last semester post graduate degree are also eligible for this exam
- Passing the qualifying exam in Social Science,Computer Science & applications, Electronic Science and Humanities(including languages ) is necessary.
Age limit:
Age relaxation is provided by the NTA for the applicants who belongs to reserved categories as OBC/SC/ST,Transgender and women candidates.
- The upper age limit for candidates appearing for Junior Research Fellowships ia 30 as er 1st June 2024
- No age limit is prescribed for admission into h.d and Assistant professorship.
Application Fees:
Applicants will have to ay the application form fee according to their prescribed category wise.
- General or unreserved category have to pay Rs.1150/-
- SC/ST/PwD or transgender have to pay RS.325/-
- General-EWS/OBC-NCL have to pay Rs.600/-
Note:application fee date is till 11th may and 12th may 2024.
Notification pay online:
Online application form is released by NTA on April 20,2024 in its official website only.Applicants must submit the application form on or before May 10,2024.UGC NET application form will be accepted only for those applicants who aid the application fees on or before May 12,2014 according to the prescribed category.
Exam pattern:
NTA is conducting the UGC NET exam with 2 papers in online mode with weightage of 2 marks for each question.The questions will be in the type of Multiple Choice questions without negative marking for wrong answers.the duration of the exam will be 3 hours with continuation of 2 papers no break will be provided for paper 1 and paper 2.

UGC NET 2024 syllabus is released by NTA.Applicants can download the syllabus pdf on the official website which will cover all the topics
- Paper 1 is focused on the applicants teaching and reasoning ability,general knowledge,understanding and divergent thought which is same and common
- Paper 2 is subjected based on total of 83 subjects from which 1 subject is chosen as per their preference.
Admit card:
NTA will release the admit card according to the date announced in its official website online.Applicants must download the admit card and appear for the examination as mentioned on the date of their examination on the admit card in their prescribed examination center.
Applicants must carry their photo identification proof such as Aadhar Card,PAN card,Driving licence,Passport along with admit card.
Result:
NTA will release the UGC NET 2024 June results online in their official website.Applicants have to enter their application number and date of birth to get the result which will be displayed their.
