Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who are interested must fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria as per the notification released by the UPSC in its official website.
- Candidate who are applying must be an Indian citizen.
- Both Male and Female can apply.
Educational qualification:
Candidates applying for UPSC CAPF post must have completed their Graduation degree in any recognized university or institution either technical or Non technical degree.
Age limit:
Candidates age must be in between 20 to 25 years.Age relaxation is provided for SC/ST/OBC and civilian central government servants of 3 to 5 years depending on their categories.

Application process:
Candidates can apply in online in its official website by following the below mentioned steps,
Step 1:Visit the official website https://upsconline.nic.in/.
Step 2:Candidates registering for the first time have to complete their ‘One Time Registration (OTR) with their active email Id,mobile number and some important details mentioned in the registration form.
Step 3:Enter the captcha appearing on the screen and then OTR profile. And then password and OTD registration Id will be sent to registered email Id/mobile number.
Step 4:Candidates can now login in the login window with their OTR Id and password.
Step 5:Candidates can now fill the application form by entering the details asked and can upload photo and signature in the required fields.
Step 6:Pay the application fees if any through online mode of payment and preview the application form and download the form for further reference.
Selection process:
The selection process takes places in 4 different steps for UPSC CAPF post. They are
- Written Exam
- PET/PST & Medical Standards Tests
- Interview/Personality Test
- Final Merit.
Note:The final selection or the order of merit will be decided based on marks obtained in the Written Test and Interview only.

- General Science:General awareness, Scientific temper, Comprehension and appreciation of scientific phenomena of everyday observation, including new areas like Information Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science
- Current Events of National and International Importance :Current events of national and international importance, Areas of culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, globalization, and interplay among nations
- Indian Polity and Economy:Knowledge of the Country’s political system and the Constitution of India, Social systems and public administration, Economic development in India, Regional and international security issues, Human rights, including its indicators
- History of India:social, economic, and political aspects, Growth of nationalism and the freedom movement
- Indian and World Geography:Physical, social, and economic aspects of geography pertaining to India and the World.
